„The Korean Music Awards” premiază cele mai bune album și cântece.
Festitatea de premiere pune accent mai mult pe muzică, decât pe artiști, iar criteriile în baza cărora sunt numiți câștigătorii nu sunt vânzările, ci reușitele muzicale. Ceremonia dorește să elimine bariera dintre muzica mainstream și non-mainstream.
Câștigării vor fi anunțați pe 28 februarie la ora 11:00 (România) la Nodeulseom, Seul. De asemenea, ediția din acest an va fi organizată online.
